Letztes Halbjahr besuchten wir mit der Oberstufe ein bedeutendes Wissenschaftsmuseum. Bevor wir dort ankamen, hatten wir im Unterricht viel über die Natur gelernt. Ein freundlicher Physiker erklärte uns ein Experiment über das Licht und verschiedene Farbtöne. Er stellte das Gerät an und wir mussten unsere volle Konzentration nutzen, um die Beobachtung genau zu dokumentieren. Ich schrieb sofort einen wichtigen Eintrag in mein Journal. Zuvor hatte ich geglaubt, dass Wissenschaft nur trockener Blödsinn sei, aber das war ein Irrtum. Wir lernten, dass die Welt grundsätzlich stabil ist, auch wenn sich biologische Prozesse ständig ändern. Diese Erfahrung schloss eine große Lücke in meiner Bildung. Am Ende des Tages war mir klar, dass objektive Forschung eine große Bedeutung für unsere Zukunft hat.

Last semester, we visited a significant science museum with the senior classes. Before we arrived there, we had learned a lot about nature in class. A friendly physicist explained an experiment about light and different shades of color to us. He turned on the device, and we had to use our full concentration to document the observation accurately. I immediately wrote an important entry in my journal. Previously, I had believed that science was just dry nonsense, but that was a mistake. We learned that the world is fundamentally stable, even if biological processes are constantly changing. This experience closed a large gap in my education. At the end of the day, it was clear to me that objective research has great significance for our future.
