During a performance, you accidentally dropped your binoculars from the balcony and had to explain the situation to the theater staff.

Ich besuchte gestern ein Konzert in der Aula, um das berühmte Orchester zu hören. Die Musik klang sehr harmonisch und die Darsteller zeigten ihr großes Talent auf der Bühne. Plötzlich passierte mir ein Missgeschick, als ich von meinem Platz auf dem Balkon nach unten sah. Mein Fernglas rutschte mir aus der Hand und fiel direkt in den Bereich, in dem die Musiker saßen. Der Schall des Aufpralls war leider im ganzen Saal deutlich hörbar, obwohl die Klassik gerade sehr leise war. Ich erschrak heftig und suchte sofort den Manager des Theaters, um die Situation zu erklären. Glücklicherweise traf das schwere Objekt weder ein Becken noch eine Tuba, sondern landete weich auf einem Teppich. Der Manager blieb ruhig und versprach mir, dass er das Fernglas nach dem Auftritt zurückgeben würde. Am Ende war ich froh, dass niemand verletzt wurde und das Konzert ohne Unterbrechung weiterging.

I visited a concert in the assembly hall yesterday to hear the famous orchestra. The music sounded very harmonious and the performers showed their great talent on stage. Suddenly a mishap happened to me as I looked down from my seat on the balcony. My binoculars slipped out of my hand and fell directly into the area where the musicians were sitting. The sound of the impact was unfortunately clearly audible throughout the hall, even though the classical music was very quiet just then. I was very startled and immediately sought out the theater manager to explain the situation. Fortunately, the heavy object hit neither a cymbal nor a tuba, but landed softly on a carpet. The manager remained calm and promised me that he would return the binoculars after the performance. In the end, I was glad that no one was injured and the concert continued without interruption.
