In unserem Kompetenzzentrum wurde kürzlich ein bedeutendes Werk über landwirtschaftliche Erzeugnisse aus dem 18. Jahrhundert bearbeitet. Ursprünglich wurde dieses Buch von einem gelehrten Mönch verfasst, der verschiedene Arten von Hülsenfrüchten und Rebsorten detailliert beschrieb. Vor der Restaurierung war der Zustand der Seiten durchwachsen, da viele Blätter weisslich verfärbt oder verschmutzt waren. Nun ist der Prozess abgeschlossen und die wertvollen Seiten sind vollständig gereinigt. Die Helligkeit des Papiers ist nun wiederhergestellt, sodass jede Variation der Illustrationen klar erkennbar ist. Auch die bauliche Dimension des Einbands hat sich durch die Innovation der Restaurierungswerkstatt verbessert. Der Buchrücken ist jetzt fest mit hochwertigem Leinen gebunden und stabilisiert das gesamte Werk. Dementsprechend ist die Gefahr weiterer Schäden gebannt und das Buch ist für die Forschung sicher verwahrt. Es hat sich herausgestellt, dass die Evolution der botanischen Zeichnungen in diesem Band besonders stimmungsvoll dargestellt ist. In der großen Halle des Archivs ist die Arbeit beendet und die Dokumentation ist nun im System hinterlegt. Zeitgleich sind alle Spekulationen über den Verfall des Werkes beendet, da die Struktur nun dauerhaft gefestigt ist.

In our competence center, an important work on agricultural products from the 18th century was recently processed. Originally, this book was written by a learned monk who described various types of legumes and grape varieties in detail. Before the restoration, the condition of the pages was mixed, as many leaves were discolored whitish or soiled. Now the process is complete and the valuable pages are fully cleaned. The brightness of the paper is now restored, so that every variation of the illustrations is clearly recognizable. The structural dimension of the binding has also improved through the innovation of the restoration workshop. The spine of the book is now firmly bound with high-quality linen and stabilizes the entire work. Accordingly, the danger of further damage is averted and the book is safely stored for research. It has turned out that the evolution of botanical drawings in this volume is depicted in a particularly atmospheric way. In the large hall of the archive, the work is finished and the documentation is now stored in the system. At the same time, all speculations about the decay of the work are ended, as the structure is now permanently consolidated.
