Write a letter to the city council explaining why the current bike lanes are more dangerous than the ones in the neighboring town.

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, ich schreibe Ihnen, weil unsere Radwege im Moment sehr gefährlich sind. Die Wege in der Nachbarstadt sind viel breiter und schöner als unsere, deshalb sind sie dort am sichersten. Ein wichtiger Grund für die Gefahr ist, dass viele Autofahrer kein Schild beachten und zu schnell fahren. Gestern gab es fast einen Unfall, weil eine Fahrerin beim Abbiegen nicht aufgepasst hat. Wenn wir hier sicher weiterfahren möchten, müssen wir oft fast über die Straße rennen. Es ist egal, ob man ein Engländer oder ein Ausländer ist, wir alle brauchen bessere Wege. Bitte entscheiden Sie schnell, damit das Radfahren in unserer Welt wieder Spaß macht.

Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to you because our bike lanes are currently very dangerous. The paths in the neighboring town are much wider and nicer than ours, which is why they are safest there. An important reason for the danger is that many car drivers do not pay attention to any signs and drive too fast. Yesterday there was almost an accident because a female driver was not paying attention while turning. If we want to continue riding safely here, we often almost have to run across the street. It doesn't matter if you are an Englishman or a foreigner, we all need better paths. Please decide quickly so that cycling in our world is fun again.
