You write to your neighbor because their newly planted fast-growing trees are blocking the sunlight from your solar panels.

Lieber Nachbar, ich schreibe dir wegen der neuen Bäume, die du vor kurzem in deinem Garten gepflanzt hast. Diese Bäume wachsen sehr schnell und werfen Schatten auf die Solarzellen, die auf meinem Dach installiert sind. Durch diesen Schatten ist die Spannung in meiner Anlage momentan leider viel zu niedrig. Wenn die Bäume so weiterwachsen, wird die Produktion von Elektrizität in den nächsten Monaten stark sinken. Ich habe für diesen Umbau extra einen Kredit aufgenommen, weil ich Fortschritt beim Energiesparen machen wollte. Meine Versicherung benötigt zudem genaue Angaben über die Effizienz der Anlage in meinem Heim. Ich werde dir morgen einen Screenshot schicken, der die Abmessungen des Schattens genau zeigt. Vielleicht können wir die Bäume gemeinsam bearbeiten, damit sie eine ordentliche Höhe behalten. Wir werden bestimmt eine Lösung finden, die für uns beide fair ist.

Dear neighbor, I am writing to you because of the new trees that you recently planted in your garden. These trees are growing very fast and are casting shadows on the solar cells that are installed on my roof. Because of this shadow, the voltage in my system is currently unfortunately far too low. If the trees continue to grow like this, the production of electricity will decrease significantly in the coming months. I specifically took out a loan for this renovation because I wanted to make progress in saving energy. Furthermore, my insurance requires precise details about the efficiency of the system in my home. I will send you a screenshot tomorrow that shows the dimensions of the shadow exactly. Perhaps we can work on the trees together so that they keep a proper height. We will certainly find a solution that is fair for both of us.
