Gestern besuchte ich eine Galerie für moderne Kunst, die in der Stadt sehr bekannt ist. Dort sah ich eine Skulptur, die auf den ersten Blick wie ein Haufen Müll aussah. Zuerst dachte ich, dass der Künstler sich dabei nichts Besonderes ausdenken wollte, und fand das Objekt einfach nur strange. Ich musste lange überlegen, ob ich vielleicht einen Teil der Information nicht abbekommen hatte. Ein Mann, der lässig an der Wand lehnte, bemerkte schließlich meine große Verwirrung. Er gab mir einen freundlichen Wink, dass ich mir die Beschreibung an der Seite genau durchlesen sollte. Plötzlich begriff ich, dass das Werk die tiefe Traurigkeit unserer Wegwerfgesellschaft darstellte. Ich fühlte mich wie eine kleine Gewinnerin, weil ich die Botschaft hinter dem Chaos endlich verstand. Es war eine abenteuerliche Erfahrung, die mich trotz des Schlamassels sehr beeindruckte. Auch wenn mich die Kunst zuerst abschrecken wollte, war die Stimmung am Ende doch noch heiter.

Yesterday, I visited a gallery for modern art that is very well-known in the city. There, I saw a sculpture that looked like a pile of trash at first glance. At first, I thought the artist didn't want to come up with anything special, and I found the object simply strange. I had to think for a long time about whether I might have missed part of the information. A man who was leaning casually against the wall finally noticed my great confusion. He gave me a friendly hint to read the description on the side carefully. Suddenly, I realized that the work represented the deep sadness of our throwaway society. I felt like a little winner because I finally understood the message behind the chaos. It was an adventurous experience that impressed me greatly despite the mess. Even though the art initially tried to deter me, the mood was ultimately cheerful in the end.
