Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, ich schreibe Ihnen bezüglich eines Schadensfalls während meiner Reise durch die Bundesrepublik. Was meine geplanten Flüge anbelangt, erlitt mein gesamter Zeitplan durch einen plötzlichen Vulkanausbruch förmlich Schiffbruch. Je länger die Aschewolke über dem Meeresspiegel verweilte, desto ausgeprägter wurden die stellenweisen Flugverbote in ganz Europa. Sowohl die israelische Delegation als auch ich saßen in einer ausländischen Niederlassung fest, während mystische Rauchwolken den Himmel in eine dunkle Färbung hüllten. Die bedrohliche Situation versetzte uns in Angst, da die Luftqualität fast an die gefährliche Strahlung eines Akw erinnerte. Ursprünglich wollte ich einen Trek zu einer romanischen Ausgrabung unternehmen, um ein seltenes Fundstück zu besichtigen. Dieses Objekt wurde erst kürzlich unter der harten Rinde der Erde zutage gefördert und war historisch bedeutsam. Stattdessen musste ich zusätzliche Unterkünfte in Pfund Sterling bezahlen, da meine ursprünglichen Hotels nicht erstattungsfähig waren. Ein Zöllner am Flughafen erklärte mir zudem, dass der Transport von Futtermittel und zoologischen Gütern ganzjährig beeinträchtigt sein könnte. Selbst die fruchtbaren Felder, auf denen ein kräftiger Hengst graste und Mangold wuchs, waren vollständig von grauer Asche bedeckt. Die Spannweite der Verzögerungen war gewaltig, da die gesamte Region durch die erkaltete Lava neu geformt wurde. Schließlich verschwanden die Wanderwege hinter einer natürlichen Schanze aus Schlamm und Sumpf, was meine Rückreise unmöglich machte.

Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to you regarding an insurance claim during my trip through the Federal Republic. As far as my planned flights are concerned, my entire schedule literally suffered a shipwreck due to a sudden volcanic eruption. The longer the ash cloud lingered above sea level, the more pronounced the intermittent flight bans across Europe became. Both the Israeli delegation and I were stuck in a foreign branch office while mystical clouds of smoke enveloped the sky in a dark hue. The threatening situation filled us with fear, as the air quality almost reminded us of the dangerous radiation from a nuclear power plant. Originally, I wanted to go on a trek to a Romanesque excavation to visit a rare artifact. This object was only recently brought to light from beneath the hard crust of the earth and was historically significant. Instead, I had to pay for additional accommodation in pounds sterling because my original hotels were non-refundable. A customs officer at the airport also explained to me that the transport of animal feed and zoological goods could be affected year-round. Even the fertile fields, where a strong stallion grazed and chard grew, were completely covered in gray ash. The scale of the delays was enormous, as the entire region was reshaped by the cooled lava. Finally, the hiking trails disappeared behind a natural barrier of mud and swamp, making my return journey impossible.
