Sehr geehrter Herr Müller, als Ihr Nachbar, der direkt gegenüber Ihrer Terrasse wohnhaft ist, möchte ich mich heute wegen einer kleinen Angelegenheit an Sie wenden. Die aktuelle Wetterlage mit ihren heftigen Wirbeln und dem häufigen Starkregen führt leider dazu, dass Ihre großen Metallwindspiele einen enormen Lärm verursachen. Je stärker die herbstlichen Stürme wehen, desto unerträglicher wird das metallische Klingen in der Nacht. Sowohl die Lautstärke als auch die Frequenz der Töne machen es mir derzeit unmöglich, bei offenem Fenster zu schlafen. Da unser Gebäude mit Stuck verziert ist und über ein besonderes Gewölbe im Eingangsbereich verfügt, scheint der Schall der Windspiele zusätzlich zu reflektieren. Es dürfte für Sie sicherlich nachvollziehbar sein, dass dies eine erhebliche Verschlechterung meiner Schlafqualität darstellt. Obwohl das Design der Windspiele farblich sehr ansprechend gestaltet ist, türmen sich meine Sorgen bezüglich der kommenden Sturmnächte. Vielleicht könnten Sie die Windspiele provisorisch abhängen oder zumindest an einem geschützteren Pfeiler befestigen? Ich bin mir sicher, dass wir als alleinstehende Mieter oder Pächter in diesem Haus eine gute Lösung finden können. Da die Wetterberichte für das Wochenende weitere Böen vorhersagen, wäre eine zeitnahe Lösung sehr hilfreich. Vielleicht könnte eine Befestigung an der Rinne oder an einem anderen Zipfel des Balkons den Lärm dämpfen? Es müsste doch möglich sein, dass wir beide nachts wieder in Ruhe schlafen können.

Dear Mr. Müller, as your neighbor living directly opposite your terrace, I would like to contact you today regarding a small matter. The current weather situation with its violent swirls and frequent heavy rain unfortunately causes your large metal wind chimes to make an enormous noise. The stronger the autumn storms blow, the more unbearable the metallic ringing becomes at night. Both the volume and the frequency of the sounds currently make it impossible for me to sleep with the window open. Since our building is decorated with stucco and has a special vault in the entrance area, the sound of the wind chimes seems to reflect even more. It should certainly be understandable to you that this represents a significant deterioration in my sleep quality. Although the design of the wind chimes is very attractively colored, my worries regarding the upcoming stormy nights are piling up. Perhaps you could temporarily take down the wind chimes or at least attach them to a more protected pillar? I am sure that we, as single tenants or leaseholders in this house, can find a good solution. Since the weather reports are forecasting more gusts for the weekend, a prompt solution would be very helpful. Perhaps attaching them to the gutter or to another corner of the balcony could muffle the noise? It must surely be possible for both of us to sleep in peace at night again.
