Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, hiermit bewerbe ich mich um eine Förderung aus dem städtischen Etat für ein großflächiges Wandgemälde in unserem District. Die Umgestaltung der grauen Fassade an der alten Stadtmauer dient primär der Verschönerung des Viertels und zur Vermeidung von illegalem Vandalismus. Je grauer die Betonwände in der Stadt wirken, desto mehr droht ein Gefühl von Anarchie und Vernachlässigung unter den Bewohnern. Mein künstlerisches Ziel ist die Förderung der Integration durch ein Motiv, das sowohl slawische Traditionen als auch moderne urbane Einflüsse darstellt. Des Weiteren fungiert das betroffene Gebäude als wichtige Anlaufstelle für den lokalen Mittelstand und junge Familien. Wir verpflichten uns zur engen Zusammenarbeit mit der Nachbarschaft, damit kein Hass oder soziale Spannungen durch die Neugestaltung entstehen. Durch die Einbeziehung der Bewohner bei der Motivwahl stärken wir den Ruf unseres Stadtteils als kreatives und offenes Zentrum. Sowohl die finanzielle Unterstützung der Nationalbank als auch diese städtische Vereinbarung sind für die operative Umsetzung des Projekts entscheidend. Eine solche Gegenmaßnahme gegen die optische Tristesse ist durchaus sinnvoll, um den sozialen Zusammenhalt nachhaltig zu sichern. Nach der Räumung der alten, verfallenen Werbeflächen wird das neue Kunstwerk wie ein moderner Kaiser über dem öffentlichen Platz thronen. Mit dieser Maßnahme leisten wir einen Beitrag zur Stadtentwicklung, der weit über rein ästhetische Aspekte hinausgeht.

Dear Sir or Madam, I hereby apply for funding from the municipal budget for a large-scale mural in our district. The redesign of the gray facade by the old city wall primarily serves to beautify the neighborhood and to avoid illegal vandalism. The grayer the concrete walls in the city appear, the more a sense of anarchy and neglect threatens the residents. My artistic goal is the promotion of integration through a motif that represents both Slavic traditions and modern urban influences. Furthermore, the building in question acts as an important contact point for the local middle class and young families. We commit ourselves to close cooperation with the neighborhood so that no hatred or social tensions arise from the redesign. By involving the residents in the choice of motif, we strengthen the reputation of our district as a creative and open center. Both the financial support from the National Bank and this municipal agreement are crucial for the operational implementation of the project. Such a countermeasure against visual gloom is quite sensible in order to sustainably ensure social cohesion. After the removal of the old, dilapidated advertising spaces, the new work of art will tower over the public square like a modern emperor. With this measure, we are making a contribution to urban development that goes far beyond purely aesthetic aspects.
