Ich hatte mir schon lange gewünscht, beim Dorffest die traditionelle Tracht zu tragen. Zuerst war ich sehr nervös, weil ich mich ungeschickt fühlte und befürchtete, dass alle über mich lachen würden. Trotz der Spannung wollte ich mir den Hut aufsetzen und mutig sein. Während des Festes merkte ich schnell, dass meine Sorgen wegen meines Aussehens eine Dummheit waren. Die Kleidung war nicht nur sehr schön, sondern auch überraschend bequem. Ich begann mit den Nachbarn zu plaudern und fühlte mich endlich wohl in der Menge. Es war eine große Erleichterung, dass mich niemand als Feind betrachtete oder mir Vorwürfe machte. Die Zeit verging wie im Flug, und am Abend war ich total entspannt. Es wäre sinnlos gewesen, zu Hause zu bleiben, denn das Fest hat meinen Tag gerettet. Ich habe gelernt, dass man nicht übertreiben sollte, wenn man Angst vor neuen Dingen hat.

I had long wished to wear the traditional costume at the village festival. At first, I was very nervous because I felt clumsy and feared that everyone would laugh at me. Despite the tension, I wanted to put on the hat and be brave. During the festival, I quickly noticed that my worries about my appearance were foolishness. The clothing was not only very beautiful but also surprisingly comfortable. I began to chat with the neighbors and finally felt comfortable in the crowd. It was a great relief that no one saw me as an enemy or reproached me. Time passed like a flash, and in the evening, I was totally relaxed. It would have been pointless to stay home, because the festival saved my day. I learned that you should not exaggerate when you are afraid of new things.
