In der Küche meiner Großmutter hängt immer der wunderbare Duft einheimischer Kräuter. Schon als ich ein kleiner Teenie war, lernte ich dort die Geheimnisse unseres Familienunternehmens. Die Traditionen der Heimat sind uns wichtig, weshalb wir die alten Rezepte meiner Oma sehr respektieren. Während wir das Fleisch für einen Spieß hacken, muss man oft noch frische Zwiebeln hinzufügen. In ihrer gemütlichen Gaststätte haben wir die Gewürze immer an einem kühlen, dunklen Ort gelagert. Nach dem Tod meiner Großmutter fanden wir ihre besten Mischungen im Anhang ihres Testaments. Wir bevorzugen den Geschmack gemischter Kräuter, da sie die Geschichte meiner Familie erzählen. Mein Bruder und ich, wir sind übrigens Zwillinge, unterstützen uns gegenseitig beim Kochen. Manchmal trage ich eine neue Sauce auf das Fleisch auf, um den Geschmack vorsichtig zu verbessern. Wegen des großen Erfolgs führen wir das kulinarische Erbe der Oma heute stolz weiter.

In my grandmother's kitchen, the wonderful scent of local herbs always hangs in the air. Even when I was a young teen, I learned the secrets of our family business there. The traditions of the homeland are important to us, which is why we respect my grandma's old recipes very much. While we chop the meat for a skewer, one often still has to add fresh onions. In her cozy restaurant, we always stored the spices in a cool, dark place. After my grandmother's death, we found her best blends in the appendix of her will. We prefer the taste of mixed herbs because they tell the story of my family. My brother and I, we are twins by the way, support each other while cooking. Sometimes I apply a new sauce to the meat to carefully improve the flavor. Because of the great success, we proudly continue grandma's culinary legacy today.
