Gestern Abend hat es in unserer Siedlung heftig gestürmt. Plötzlich gab es einen lauten Knall und kurz darauf einen Stromausfall. Das Wasser des starken Regens floss wahrscheinlich über den Rand des Asphalts, da die Installation der Abflüsse nicht reichte. Mein Keller in diesem Altbau wurde innerhalb einer Stunde komplett überflutet. Ein großer Teil meines persönlichen Besitzes wurde durch das schmutzige Wasser beschädigt. Ein solider Tisch eines Schreiners hat nun eine tiefe Delle. Sogar der Henkel einer wertvollen Tasse ist abgebrochen. Die Wände müssen nun von einer Fachfirma getrocknet werden. Solches Pech ist für die Bewohner der gesamten Gemeinde schwer zu ertragen. Ich hoffe, dass die kommenden Kosten von der Versicherung übernommen werden.

Yesterday evening there was a heavy storm in our settlement. Suddenly there was a loud bang and shortly after a power failure. The water from the heavy rain probably flowed over the edge of the asphalt because the installation of the drains was not sufficient. My basement in this old building was completely flooded within an hour. A large part of my personal possession was damaged by the dirty water. A solid table from a carpenter now has a deep dent. Even the handle of a valuable cup broke off. The walls must now be dried by a specialist company. Such bad luck is hard to bear for the residents of the entire community. I hope that the upcoming costs will be covered by the insurance.
