You are applying for a weekend volunteer position at a local animal shelter to help walk dogs and clean cages.

In Ihrer Anzeige wird ein freiwilliger Helfer für ein Ehrenamt im Tierheim gesucht. Da ich beruflich als Programmierer arbeite, möchte ich am Wochenende stattdessen etwas Praktisches im Freien tun. Ich bin ein sehr verlässlicher Mensch und werde mich ehrgeizig um das Wohl der Tiere kümmern. Während meines Besuchs werde ich die Hunde hüten und sie natürlich auch oft streicheln. Die Reinigung der Käfige werde ich mithilfe einer Checkliste sorgfältig erledigen. Außerdem werde ich das Futter zur richtigen Zeit an alle Tiere verteilen. Ich werde für diese Arbeit keine Bezahlung beantragen, da ich meine Freizeit einfach sinnvoll nutzen möchte. Eine deutliche Verbesserung der Lebensqualität der Tiere ist mein wichtigstes Ziel. A volunteer for a position at the animal shelter is being sought in your advertisement. Since I work professionally as a programmer, I would like to do something practical outdoors on the weekends instead. I am a very reliable person and will ambitiously look after the well-being of the animals. During my visit, I will look after the dogs and, of course, pet them often. I will carefully complete the cleaning of the cages with the help of a checklist. Furthermore, I will distribute the food to all animals at the correct time. I will not apply for any payment for this work, as I simply want to use my free time meaningfully. A clear improvement in the animals' quality of life is my most important goal. I very much hope that my offered commitment will be helpful to you.
