Die Erhaltung dieser historischen Stiftskirche ist angesichts ihrer einzigartigen Baukunst eine absolute Notwendigkeit für unsere kulturelle Identität. Es handelt sich ja nicht bloß um ein religiöses Etablissement, sondern um einen Raum, in dem Geschichte und Gemeinschaft tief verwurzelt sind. Durch die Überlassung des Gebäudes an die Öffentlichkeit wurde ein Ort geschaffen, der trotz unterschiedlicher Überzeugungen – von der Verehrung der Dreifaltigkeit bis hin zum stillen Gedenken an den Heiland – alle Menschen willkommen heißt. Schauen Sie sich doch nur die prachtvollen Giebel und die filigranen Lamellen an, die das Licht in der Sakristei so meisterhaft einfangen. In einer Zeit, die oft von materieller Habgier und menschlichem Hochmut geprägt ist, wäre der Abriss dieses Denkmals ein Akt unsäglicher Verblendung. Wer könnte dereinst die Zerstörung des antiken Sarkophags oder der kunstvollen Stele rechtfertigen, die an die Täufer und Evangelisten erinnern? Es geht hier eben nicht nur um ästhetische Zier, sondern um die Sühne gegenüber unserer eigenen Geschichte und die Abkehr von jeglichem Fanatismus. Die ehemalige Kapelle ist für die Förderung des interkulturellen Dialogs geradezu prädestiniert, da sie sogar fernöstliche Konzepte wie das Qi in ihre meditative Atmosphäre integriert. Ein Verzicht auf die Sanierung würde halt bedeuten, dass wir ein wichtiges Erbe leichtfertig aufgeben. Die Mitglieder vom Konvent haben einst ein Gelübde abgelegt, diesen Ort zu schützen, und wir sollten uns diesem Versprechen heute anschließen. Es ist doch offensichtlich, dass die Begegnung mit solcher Schönheit den Geist gewissermaßen wiedergebären kann. Weder die Angst vor einem fiktiven Fegefeuer noch weltliche Ignoranz dürfen dazu führen, dass wir diesen Schatz verlieren. Die Pflege dieser Baukunst ist die wichtigste Investition in die Zukunft unserer Stadt.

The preservation of this historical collegiate church is an absolute necessity for our cultural identity in view of its unique architecture. After all, it is not merely a religious establishment, but a space in which history and community are deeply rooted. Through the transfer of the building to the public, a space was created that welcomes everyone despite differing beliefs—from the veneration of the Trinity to the silent remembrance of the Savior. Just look at the magnificent gables and the delicate slats that capture the light in the sacristy so masterfully. In a time often characterized by material greed and human pride, the demolition of this monument would be an act of unspeakable delusion. Who could one day justify the destruction of the ancient sarcophagus or the ornate stele that commemorate the Baptists and Evangelists? It is precisely not just about aesthetic adornment, but about atonement toward our own history and the rejection of any kind of fanaticism. The former chapel is virtually predestined for the promotion of intercultural dialogue, as it even integrates Far Eastern concepts such as Qi into its meditative atmosphere. Forgoing the renovation would simply mean that we are giving up an important heritage recklessly. The members of the convent once took a vow to protect this place, and we should join this promise today. It is indeed obvious that the encounter with such beauty can, in a sense, cause the spirit to be reborn. Neither the fear of a fictional purgatory nor worldly ignorance must lead to us losing this treasure. The maintenance of this architecture is the most important investment in the future of our city.
