Laut einem aktuellen Medienbericht stehe der Bürgermeisterkandidat derzeit im Rampenlicht, da er seine Pläne für das neue Radwegenetz konkretisiert habe. Er behauptete vor dem Verwaltungsgebäude, die gegenwärtige Misere im Stadtverkehr könne nur durch einen entschlossenen Einsatz gelöst werden. Dabei versprach der Demokrat, dass die zuständige Behörde alle Abläufe transparent gestalten werde, um jede lokale Bürgerinitiative direkt einzubinden. Kritische Beobachter nannten seine Äußerungen jedoch eine bloße Attacke auf das Budget und nichts als leeres Geschwätz. Er entgegnete, dass der Stadtrat bereits eine Resolution vorbereite, damit die Stadt in der Weltrangliste der Mobilität endlich aufsteige. Heutzutage sei es notwendig, dass jede Fraktion das Drehbuch für die Verkehrswende ohne Vorurteile unterstütze, wobei er derart umfassende Änderungen für alternativlos halte. Zudem plane er Crowdfunding-Optionen, falls seine Vollmacht für neue Kredite nicht ausreiche, und kritisierte veraltete Strukturen, die ihn an die Sowjet-Ära erinnerten. Die positiven Auswirkungen auf das Klima seien allzu offensichtlich, um sie durch bloßen Klatsch in den Medien zu diskreditieren. In seiner Rede fand auch die Erwähnung des „Yorker Modells“ Platz, während er betonte, dass sogar die örtliche Fürstin das Projekt befürworte. Trotz seiner tiefen Wurzeln im Katholizismus wolle er als moderner Reformer agieren. According to a recent media report, the mayoral candidate is currently in the spotlight because he has fleshed out his plans for the new bicycle lane network. In front of the administration building, he claimed that the current misery in city traffic could only be solved through a determined effort. The Democrat promised that the responsible authority would make all processes transparent in order to directly involve every local citizens' initiative. Critical observers, however, called his statements a mere attack on the budget and nothing but empty chatter. He countered that the city council was already preparing a resolution so that the city would finally move up in the world ranking of mobility. Nowadays, it is necessary for every faction to support the script for the traffic transition without prejudice, as he considers such extensive changes to be without alternative. Furthermore, he plans to examine crowdfunding options if his authority for new loans is not sufficient, and he criticized outdated structures that reminded him of the Soviet era. The positive effects on the climate are all too obvious to be discredited by mere gossip in the media. In his speech, the mention of the 'Yorker model' also found a place, while he emphasized that even the local princess supported the project. Despite his deep roots in Catholicism, he wants to act as a modern reformer. It remains to be seen whether the voters will choose him as mayor so that this bold act finally becomes a reality.
