Dear Ladies and Gentlemen of the City Council, I am writing to you regarding the announcement of the new residential area. There is a rumor that no bike lanes are planned there, which would be a major scandal. As the spokesperson for the parents, I would like to confirm that we are very worried about safety. The cars, which often drive through the streets at high speed, are a danger to the residents. Children who ride to school with their peers often cannot yet steer their bikes safely. The little ones often have to push their bicycles across the street because drivers behave aggressively. When drivers move their cars backwards out of driveways, the risk is particularly high. We do not want to have to organize a demonstration to clarify this serious matter. The entire population, which consists of people of different nations, religions, Syrians, and Hessians, wants uniform rules. Please take this transfer of information seriously and include the bike lanes in your planning.
