Es handelt sich um einen alten Ring, den ich als Geschenk für eine bevorstehende Heirat gekauft habe. Auf dem Ring sind Symbole graviert, die ich leider nicht selbst entschlüsseln kann. Der Verkäufer, der den Ring über eine Kleinanzeige bekommen hatte, konnte mir leider auch nicht weiterhelfen. Eines der Symbole zeigt ein Pärchen, das sich anscheinend voneinander verabschieden muss. Ich frage mich, ob dieses Motiv eine traurige Trennung oder vielleicht die Fürsorge während einer langen Reise darstellt. Da ich das Schmuckstück später an meine Kinder weitergeben möchte, ist mir der familiäre Hintergrund sehr wichtig. Könnten Sie mich bei meiner Suche unterstützen und mir sagen, ob dieser Ring ursprünglich aus einer Ehe stammt? Der Ring ist höchstens hundert Jahre alt, aber er sieht sehr wertvoll aus. Dear Dr. Meyer, I am writing to you because I recently found a special souvenir in a small stall at the flea market. It is an old ring that I bought as a gift for an upcoming wedding. There are symbols engraved on the ring that I unfortunately cannot decipher myself. The seller, who got the ring through a classified ad, could not help me either. One of the symbols shows a couple who apparently have to say goodbye to each other. I wonder if this motif represents a sad separation or perhaps the care during a long journey. Since I want to pass the piece of jewelry on to my children later, the family background is very important to me. Could you support me in my search and tell me if this ring originally comes from a marriage? The ring is at most a hundred years old, but it looks very valuable.
